GDF Singles Section

Post by Ron R » Thu Jun 16, 2011 10:42 am

Is this a good idea for the single members or soon to be single members to meet. If I was single I would love to meet a fellow birddogger of the opposite sex. We can call it "Ron's Matchmaking Corner". Romance is in the air, I can feel it  .

What do ya think folks?

Legally I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. I could tell you some awful.stories of people who met on the net.

If you facilitate a match and someone gets harmed, you can easily be sued. You'd have to have a legal document to be signed to save your butt.

You might be right. I went striped bass fishing in NY Harbor last night and several highly paid, NYC lady lawyers were talking about being attracted to 'outdoorsy' types. Hmmmm.

I have business cards if you guys are interested.

You probably would want to buy them a Martini first, then start talking about the new outfits from Orvis they will need for hunting and then describe the girly SXS they will get fitted for at Luciano Bosis.

Just dont mention the mud, cold, rain, beef jerky, smelly dog and chewing tobacco that goes along with the whole deal.

Although I am happily married for almost 23 years, I think this would be an awesome forum to watch. However all females must send pictures. Of their dogs and Kennels of course!

What's the big deal. I always cry hysterically when I talk about English Pointers and how I want them on a rainbow in a basket, and how I want to roll around with them and put a bowtie on them. OK, I guess nobody else does that, please  .

First of all if I ever get me freedom again, I am not giving it up to anyone. I learned my lesson the first time. I love my wife but getting married twice would be like getting kicked in the sack by a mule twice. The first time you could say you didn't know or made a mistake or it was an accident but the second time is all your fault. I have always told my wife if she divorces me or leaves me or passes away before I do I am moving to Alaska to become a mountain man and will only come out of the woods twice a year for supplies and, to be polite for the ladies on this forum, a lady of the night and then I will return to the mountains for another 6 months.

As for the video, WOW, what a psycho. I am sure she is probably shanking some guy in his sleep as I type. Can anyone say Fatal Attraction?

Been there, done that, don't want to do it again (the marrying part). 8)

OTOH, I sure don't mind meeting and hanging out with men who have good dogs, gaited horses, and love to hunt and trial. :) I say it's a good idea!

Knine you need help! funny stuff!

I can see it now: Dog women seeks dog man. Not into Germans or French but would consider all English and Americans. Enjoy long walks in the dog park, trials and hunt test. Feeding X brand of food is a must! Must use X training system and be ecollar broke! Send picture of dog!

The sad part about this idea is. Once we find our perfect match. She'll look like Sharon Stone. Have top notch bird dogs that put ours to shame. Score upper20's in trap high 40's on clays. Our egos will be crushed. Then what will we do with all our free time once we've gotten out of bird dogs?
