She's HUGE!!

She has to build momentum to roll over far enough to get her legs under her before she can stand. Hard to believe that I had her in condition and entered in the SC OSD Championship in December. Had to scratch her because she came in. Now look at her!I am laughing each time I see this. Can she even walk right now? What is the whelp date?
Yawallac wrote:That's Sarah and those are frozen semen Guard Rail pups. She normally weighs in at 46-47 lbs. Last time she was this big she had 14. Wouldn't that be something!![]()
Going in for a head count x-ray on Monday and she is due to whelp on Wednesday.
All right! Great idea. I'm for that!TAK wrote:If she is AI'd what process did you use?
I am guessing no more than 8 pups...... We need to start a poll and the winner gets a free pup! As said my guess is 8.....

I say 10
Oh if I win I want a LVR & White one,want it's tail docked when it's 3 days old!!![]()

Tak, surgical AI. We put the semen directly on the eggs three days after ovulation. The semen was only 40% motility after thaw. I was worried we might not even get a pup! Sarah's eggs must have grabbed the sperm by their tails and slapped them across the face and yelled, "Wake up!!" ...nevermind.

My vet is a reproduction specialist and she is doing another c-sec the same day, of Bulldog pups!! I said please don't mix them up in the maternity ward!! I mean, how could you tell them apart!?!?There was a mix-up at the juice bank and your dog has Great Dan pups in her! At least half that is....
A lot of people knew about the breeding and we didn't have intentions of selling the pups so I put a high price on them to dissuade any calls.Ross, are these pups more novolties than anything else. $5000 a for a pup that can only eat and poop is rediculouse.
Surely, you could find a better performing studdog than him for Sara.
You need to look deeper... 'Girl' is a Guard Rail Daughter. Her dam is Ko Kane. If you believe in 'motherlines' there is no better bred female anywhere. Her topside motherline is Nell's Rambling On and her bottomside motherline is Wiggins Miss sammie. It just doesn't get any better than that.It seems You base your whole line on Ko Kane but ignore the fact that she is a Miller bred gyp and focus and promote Guard Rail.
What?Your kennel seems to have no real bloodline, just alot of outcross breedings.
I bred, raised, trained and broke Jack. I ran him his first year in horseback, NBHA, UBH and even put a NAVHDA NA on him.My next question is why don't you handle Jack sinse he's your dog. That is the fun for me, without that, the hard work would not seem very gratifying.

No offense taken. All fair questions and I'll glady answer them.

I'm glad you're trying to hang on to some Ross. I will be fun to watch what you do with them.
Ross is a class act and has great dogs, I never questioned that. He is also a great breeder and trainer.CherrystoneWeims wrote:I see 13 skulls but my bet is on 14 as there are usually more than you can actually see on the xray!!
Ron,
I think Ross's breeding program is speaking for itself with his dogs doing well in FT's and NAVHDA!! From seeing his dogs and talking with him he has goals and is well on his way to achieving them. Ross is a VERY hard worker on the plantation. He is busy from sun up to sundown. It would be very hard for him to be able to manage the place and train dogs if he were out on the FT circuit.
