Training Pics - Setter!!!

Post by nitrex » Mon May 11, 2009 7:16 pm

I'm a GSP guy through and through, but this guy may change my mind. He is about a year old now and is holding point. He looks like a statue on his birds!!! It was a little warm this afternoon, so we didn't run too long, but we got in a few photos.

That's the ugliest gsp I have ever seen! :D Just kidding, he is very sharp looking. Looks like the setter I had when I was 18. I am with you on the shorthair remark, but it is hard to not love a good setter.

Beautiful dog. Beautiful tail set. You're a lucky fellow. :)

Thanks for the compliments - but Jerry Myers deserves the credit. He knows how to breed pups! I am just developing what he has through genetics. Here is a link to Spurgeon's pedigree.

I'm biased toward setters anyway but I really don't think their is anything prettier than when you find a Stylish Setter on point!

That dog looks remarkably similar to Boomer's X-Rated Johnny handled by Scott Boomershine/Roger Pariet in NSTRA. Gorgeous dog and I'm sure if I continue hanging around with Scott and Roger I will soon have a setter invading my pointer kennel...

Nitrex,
I agree with you, if I was ever to leave the Vizsla's, I believe that I would go with a ES.
