Back in the Saddle
Back in the Saddle
Felt good to get back on my horse after 5 weeks of gimpin' around feelin' sorry for myself! Not sure why I think carrying an organ lacerating camera in my coat pocket while riding my horse continues to be a good idea but what could go wrong!!?? Got in some good training the last couple of days with my good friend Rich Heaton. Concentrated pretty hard on training with my pooches so didn't take pics of them but snapped a couple with my little LX3 while working one of his pups solo. Beautiful time of year to be out!:

Glad you are back at it. But I think you may want to invest in a bubble rap vest.
The best part of training is seeing the light come on in your little prot'eg'e.

Re: Back in the Saddle
.... and here I thought you wanted to talk about my bitch (Spot's sister) and her upcoming May 2nd litter. LOL
It's hard not to take things for granted like pain free inhalation with good oxygenation. Nice to hear you're up and at 'em.

Haha, you both aren't far off the mark!! I'm sporting one of these vests now but luckily haven't had to really see if it works or not...yet!!LOL Get yourself one of the kevlar vests for riding horses.

Pretty sure we'll get bored at some point and pull the rip cord on the thing just to see what happens!!
Yah, Big Shooter - the pain didn't bother me nearly as much as the constant feeling of shortness of breath. Makes ya' feel for and respect those that feel that way every day of their lives!!

Looks pretty cool. I suppose if you forget to disconnect the coil before dismount you'll get to test the inflation action.

They're all just bird dogs to us!!
Re: Back in the Saddle
I saw a funny set of horse tracks up there this morning. I couldn't figure it out. It kind of looked like some one was riding a horse with a set of training wheels. It all makes sense now.
Re: Back in the Saddle
Training wheels! You found me out! 'ol secret spot #44!! Darn near had ourselves a pet male blue grouse that single handedly made a good effort brace after brace to get all our dogs trained !! A dollar to anyone that gets him to fly just by chasing him around!!
Re: Back in the Saddle
Don't go back again just for that blue. My dog caught him this morning. How many huns did ya fly?

It must be nice to live in country like that and still be wearing chaps and sweatshirts workin dogs! It has been over 90 here for the last few days and my dog pants just lying in the kennel!!!
Glad to see you up and posting pics again. They always make the days in the office go by quicker.
