Pigeon coupe plans

Post by jsc11700 » Sat Jun 07, 2008 9:32 am

Does anyone know where I can find plans on the internet for building a pigeon coupe?

If you go back to the Board Index and pick Hall of Fame Posts, that's a thread all about pigeons--and I believe there is a couple links to loft plans there. Denise

Here's a popular plan with lots of variations to be found on the site that hosts it: http://www.redroselofts.com/starter_loft.htm
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

Do a search on here, I cant tell you the number of different designs that people have posted pictures of on here. Or try lcsupply.com, they sell plans.

All you need is a square box with a door for the birds to come in and out. Pigeons are hardy and tough to kill birds so dont over think the process and keep it simple. Good luck!

I have started my loft construction and am wondering if any of you have any recommendations for bob doors or feeders or water containers. Any really great ones or some that I should stay away from.

I bought the wire bobs from Lion Country supply, and they've worked great for me. Have seen people make them out of pvc too. Also bought the covered feeder from LCS. For waterer, I take out milk jugs that I've cut windows into. Don't have to worry about them pooping it up, because the top is covered and I can throw them away regularly. Have a friend that waters like that too. Denise
