Are there any Members on here from Maryland that are sometimes looking for another person and dog to go with them?
I have non-dog owner friends that like to go with me once in a while but since they don't have a dog to hunt with they just aren't as into it. They will go for pen reared birds but not wild. (Maryland does not have wild Pheasant and Quail to speak of).
I'm in fairly good shape 59 yrs old and My GSP is 7 years old. I want to try and get him on more wild birds. Last year while hunting released Quail he went on point and when the bird flushed it was a Woodcock and I was soooo happy that was his first non released bird point.
I'm trying tomorrow for Ruffed Grouse. in western part of the state.
And yes I've been hunting since 1980 (lol)and I do it all deer, waterfowl, Turkey etc. but once I got my dog I only deer hunt the rut.
