Sorry, I have no catchy names, but I would do everything in my power to make sure this didn't happen.

No worries man.... The dachs is kenneled and I am keeping tight tabs on my boy. But she is persistent and the whole thing is making me chuckle a little and I thought Id share the fun.

unless you are careful it can happen. My wife's toy rat terrier bred my 65 lb. shorthair. Those are the funniest looking dogs. Found good homes for all of them and a couple visit every once in awhile. Strange lookiong dogs.

10 years ago I was hog hunting alot and almost had an oops litter between a gsp and jagd terrier. They would have been some serious go getters. Probably luckily for everyone's sake she didn't take. But I had homes for six pups on the potential that she was bred...

Careful or it could happen.

You could call these "Wiener Schnitzel's" Lol

I have a customer that has a GSP x Jagd mix. Crazy looking dog. He got it from a rescue and they told him it was a Doberman mix. I told him I didn't think so. He got one of those breed DNA tests and came back in to report the results. German shorthaired pointer and unidentified terrier. Since the jagd isn't in the DNA base those tests use, I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

Agreed.

Actually, I'm wondering why the OP hasn't fixed one of the dogs, since males & females wound want to do what comes naturally.

This is the main reason I have only one gender in my household.

I have never decided to neuter a dog of either sex because of any other dog and we always have both sexes.

Seriously? Well since you ask.... The dachs has thrown several really nice litters, and the GSP is a really nice dog that I might have some interest in breeding at some point.

I guess I should stress again that I posted this as a bit of a joke because it made me laugh..... relax folks...

Heck I chased the neighbor girl around for years but our folks never had us fixed....

I think the whole thread is hilarious!.. I have this image of the Dachs pushing a step stool around with his nose trying to catch up to the GSP!.. For the record, my wife is close to 5" taller than me, so it can be done!!! 8)
