Valley quail rooster in love with my bobwhites

I built a flight pen for my 35 Bobwhites that are 7 weeks old. I live on the edge of the desert. Now comes a wild Valley Quail rooster trying to entice my bobs for a date. He is always around the pen crowing. It is a distinct call that advertises that he is available. He also runs any other unattached roosters away from a nearbye water hole that I provide for the wild coveys. It did not expect to see this cross species attraction. But is quite comical to watch his antics. Anyone ever see this happen?
