Went on my first ever dove hunt, shot 3 but only managed to find one without a dog.
What I have heard they are really good, how do you cook them?

My goal in life is to be as good of a person my dog already thinks I am.

Re: Dove
I put the dove with a jalapeño pepper and cream cheese wrapped in bacon. Then grill it. I tried this yesterday, it was great.

Re: Dove
Get a large pan and fill it up with cut onions and some olive oil. Cut dove in half right down the spine and place on top of onions. cover and let this cook on med low heat for about 40 minutes stirring every 5 minutes or so. I like to season with pepper and salt. this works great with liver, any small bird, rabbits and tree rabbits.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.
