Simply put, it’s for social networking – more specifically, keeping up with friends and their life, interests, etc. Once you get plugged in, you’ll start reconnecting with people you never thought you’d see again, old high school friends etc.

And, when you become a Fan of a page, such as Gun Dog Forum or Justus Kennels, you will receive status updates every so often, which are like little news headlines for what is happening with the organization.
