Nice pics. Looks like the mare has a crack in one of the hoofs that needs to be checked. Don't want her coming up lame when you are ready to use her. What color was the stud that you used?

The mare had a large crack all the way to the cornet band and then developed an abcess. Go figure but the abcess rupturing out the cornet band provided a stable place for the crack, that would normally never go away, to fuse and be good again. We've had a heck of a dry winter and all of my horses feet are showing it. The Stallion was a gray.

Wonder what color the foal will end up? Tough winters can be hard on the hooves. Hope it doesn't bother her from here on out.

Daddy is a gray and throws all kinds of weird colors. Your guess is as good as mine on what it'll turn out as. One eye is all blue and the other is half black and half blue. The little turd beat the heck out of me yesterday when I put a halter on it. :roll:
