Oh, I almost forgot- there's a thread about the crisis of horse surplus and slaughter (or lack of it). Interesting read. There's also a link to a survey about the slaughter issue- I haven't taken it yet but will. HSUS not only wants to keep our slaughterhouses closed to horses, but is now fighting to make transport to Canada and Mexico for slaughter illegal too. Where will all the unwanted horses go? Especially now in times of economical struggle. It seems many horses are facing starvation and release into "the wild." Most rescues are full or operating at their limits....
