Saddle Bags

Post by Wa Chukar Hunter » Fri Oct 24, 2008 6:32 am

What do you guys think is a good thing to carry in saddle bags - first aid kit, extra blanks and a extra blank gun? Anything else? What is the best way to attach them to a saddle (austrailian or trooper)?

If the saddles have rings behind the seat you can use snaps or quick links to attach your saddle bags. We carry blanks, flash collars, throat lozengers, gloves, pair of plyers or wire cutters (never know when you might need em). Have been known to have a water jug or bottle, a pair of spurs (if you might need them) sometimes a pair of dog boots, duct tape, and other odds and ends.

spare snap for a rein or lead. A few of the hevy duty automotive type plastic ties, they can come in handy for emergency repairs on tack.
