Hello

Moved this for mbasic as he got shot to the bottom of the list.

I'm new to this.

I'm 47 y.o. male, married, 2 kids.
Located in Arizona.

I hunted Gambel's when I was younger (16-35) with no dog.
In the lower Sonoran desert, it can be done in good years and right conditions.
I didn't have the time or resources for a dog at this time.

Finally, last year, the wife wanted a dog. I "talked" her into a GSP.
Best decision ever.

I got my dog Mocha from Desert Point Kennels in Yuma, AZ and I can't
speak enough to the talent of the dog.
Most everything I learned with regards to training I got from the internet and books.
As I said, new to this and have not done it before (trained a pup).
The dog did a real good job training ME how to train her.
Dog learns quick and easy.

Been doing some Mearn's hunting this year.
She does great pointing and retrieving!!!
Couldn't be happier.
Points and holds good....doesn't creep in.
Breaks on the flush too much I guess (pros and cons to that the way I see it).
...need to train that out of her.
