Getting Started

Post by grant » Thu Aug 19, 2004 6:06 pm

Getting Started takes about 2min.

Here is an example of how to get started using the forum:

- Register by selecting the Register link a the top of the page.

- Once you register, you will be sent an email to confirm your registration. BE SURE TO ACTIVATE YOUR NEW ACCOUNT BY CLICKING THE LINK in the email you will recieve.

- Once you've activated your account, return to the forum to login by selecting the login link at the top of the screen.

- Once you login, you are free to start posting!

- Browse to the forum you would like to post in by selecting the title of that category. For example if you wanted to post inside of "Dogs For Sale", you would click that link.

Once inside you can CREATE NEW TOPIC or POST REPLY to an existing topic.

- To CREATE NEW TOPIC, browse your way into the forum you want to create a new topic in and select this icon:

- To POST REPLY to an existing thread or topic, open that topic and select this icon:

You'll have to reduce the picture size using an image editing program such as Adobe Photoshop ($), MS Paint (free but limited), or Gimp (free and excellent!).

My choice: http://www.gimp.org
The GNU Image Manipulation Program

Well I guess it is four! I love this picture of Maverick -- a lion stalking his prey through the grass. :)

Two healthy legs to get started but any bird dog will make your time better even if you get nothing.
