New to the Forums

Post by grousemeister » Wed Mar 28, 2007 12:18 pm

Hi there,

I am new to the forums and glad I found this site as there is some great information on here.

I have a 2 year old Brittany, his name is "Trigger". We are working on our yard work and progressing well. He seems to have a good desire to hunt and a good knack for finding birds. Most of our native birds here consist of Ruffed grouse and a few sharptails. Too cold in the winter for pheasants to survive. Grouse have had a couple of mild winters and dry springtime weather, so it seems that the numbers are up....

Looking forward to posting more and participating in the forums..

here is a pic of trigger after a grouse hunt last fall.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I have always had brits, and I enjoy the breed. However, I have noticed on this site there are a lot of GSP's . I think my next dog will be a GSP. They are a little larger, but they are a great looking dog, and it would be hard to argue with their hunting abilities. I do not think it really matters as long as I can get some quality time in the field with a hard working dog, that seems to get rid of the problems of the day..

Later,
Ian
