Hey how is everybody,
My name is Victor I am 23 from tucson arizona I just got my first gsp puppy his name is ruger this'll be the first puppy I am trying to train myself so if anybody has any tips or tricks or any advice shoot me a pm it would be greatly appreciated

Welcome, and show us a pic of that pup! As far as the advice goes, there is tons and tons of it on this forum, just do searches on certain subjects, or start a new thread. Everyone here is very helpful so most of your questions will be answered shortly.
My 2cents is that you should let the pup be a pup, explore its new surroundings, and introduce new things (fetch sit stay ect..) in short sessions to keep them new and interesting to the pup instead of a "training or a job" for the pup. A simple round of 5-10 tosses of a ball is plenty for now.

Thanks Corry, I am definitely excited to get this little guy going. As of now rugers favorite toy is his frozen mearns in a sock.. i have been working on basic obedience and he is doing amazing. I recently bought a sport dog sd400 to reenfoce his obedience .. however i am not planning on using it for any other training till at least a year in.
