I have had dogs at age 9 months be the best in the field. Also seen dogs get ruined by guys that empty their guns on a bird that scares the heck out of pup. Wildbirds will work best, he wont catch them.

FF done properly IS NOT HARSH.
I dont like the toe pinch method. Seems kinda harsh to me. I would rather bring out the fetch instinct with a check cord and some treats.

Lifting the cab only takes a few hours, it's not a big deal at all for a shop
Same thing on early s-10s, to do the engine, cab was lifted up a bit. Use the lift for this, makes it easy.

(Former mechaic, now network engineer) :) did engines for 20 years, got old, now work at a desk.

Shucks, I once had a shorthair would catch them bunnies and kill em. Leave them there and move on. :) musta hated them bunnies for some reason..

Nice looking dog, I got shorthairs thinner than that and they have full feed buckets 24/7 :) they just wanta play and hunt. Eating isnt high on their priority list. I got 6 shorthairs so the othe rdog making them eat doesnt ring true for us :)

My brothers dog, a gsp is now 13. He was neutered at age 1.5 he is doing great. Just cause one dog out of a million got something a vet attributed to neutering doesnt mean yours will develop it too. Millions of dogs are neutered and spayed without any health issues.

Back hoe on the tractor will help on trees, dig down on one side till roots, then push it over from the other side. Excavator will do it in a few minutes time. My cuz bought a dozer, did 20 acres sold it for what he paid for it.

Many times the first bird they see is a robin.
My dogs watch all birds :) even high flyers. Anything that moves fast, they are on it. Prey drive makes them do it.
