if you want a dog that hunts, skip all of those big sites and ask for brittany breeders on here. You are going to pay a little more but you are not going to be disappointed with the dogs hunting abilities.

I have been around V's east coast and now the western dogs some. I have seen some really big running V's, especially recently.

I would say that you could run up against some good dogs, but there could also be some smaller running dogs.

check out bruce shaffer at Almost Heaven GSP's. He is in W VA, go to winchester then cut back over to W VA. It is a little longer than your 2 hours, but he is a quality guy.

try calling the tsa office at your local airport and see or you could check when you get to the airport? They have an office at every airport at the very least someone will be standing behind the counter screening the bags there, you might be able to ask them.

I do not have much experience with you situation. But I have had several friends that have rushed there dogs to the vet and had to open them up to remove the obstruction.

I would try to keep stuff out of his reach for a while, it might be a hassle for a while but well worth the time.

If you are considering the griffon, I would strongly consider a Pudel Pointer as well. I have upland hunted behind a couple and done training sessions with dogs. I think they are a great breed. Very dedicated hunters. I think you would be extremely happy with one. I wouldn't worry about the distance...

forget the ecollar to fix this situation. time and prey drive will take care of it soon enough. She is still a pup, let her be one. Run her with an older female that will not put up with her playing, that will take care of it.

I take my dog a lot of places that he probably should not be. I take him into malls and all kinds of stores, etc. You would be surprised how many places never say a word to you, if you just act like it is no big deal. I have only been told at a few places that I can not have him in the store. brandon

My dog just had his tailed docked at about 2.5 years old. He was fine, right after we took the stitches out he split it open so it took longer to heal. I would say watch her like a hawk and do not let that happen, a tail will bleed a lot. As far as side effects, my dog is just getting back on birds ...

I think that some have already stated this, but control is the best thing. Then it doesn't matter at what distance your dog is, you are nervous b/c you do not have control. Work on the here/come command until it is solid, just might save his life. Then work on directional commands wether you want to...

Not only the wirehair but the smooth coat Vizsla are meant to be FOOT HUNTING companions. A wirehair in particular, IN MY OPINION, would be more well suited to the NAVDHA arena. As of now, Wire V's are not recognized by the AKC. They are in the beginning stages of being recognized, but as of yet are not fully a recognized breed. I think that you would be fine, just getting her into birds. When she flushes the first couple of birds I would praise her and get her excited about what she just did. they can be really exciting and nerve racking sometimes. Most of the time there is a lot of quality people around, who love their dogs just like we all do. One of my favorites is following the upper class legs (SH/MH) and watching good bird dogs working. Congrats on the first couple of legs, brandon

I 2nd, check the TT website, they have a lot of deals going on right now. I think that most agree they are a top quality collar.

When looking at collars I think the more simple the better and the fewer things to mess up.
