Re: Car sickness young pup
I've had a couple of dogs over the years with that issue. In each case they grew out of it. No food prior to car rides helped out a lot as well. One of the worst things I have ever smelled was dog car sick. Coming home from the cabin and the dog blew chunks all over her kennel. Turns out my Grandfat...

I'd say chain link, not sure I'd want to do a wireless fence on a brand new puppy.

Shoot the gun you like to shoot and can shoot. heck with anyone else's opinion. Lot of snobs in the upland world. Heh - it's kind of the same thing in fishing. Pocket carry a s&w 438 (j frame body guard 5 shot .38 special) in a simply rugged pocket holster. Gun has a Crimson trace lg405 grip/laser sight. Totally disappears into my jeans. We hunt GWP's, Brit's, GSP's, and an English setter all at the same time. It works well except one of the GWP's is a dirty little bird thief :) It's all females though, the only conflict we've ever had was when my GWP (not the thief now) her first time out at 4mo tried to take a bird mid-retrieve fr...

It happened again, this time I figured it out! On Sunday after 2 days of very hard hunting we did a shot romp around a field to keep her from stiffing up. As always after hunting I checked her over thoroughly and there were no sores on her face. She was carrying around a giant piece of bark for most...

I love vet wrap for bandaging wounds and as "armor" around a dogs ankles under dog boots. However, I learned on Friday that it is really easy to get vet wrap on too tight.
