Re: dog bottle
I have never understood putting stuff in water just to get a dog to drink. Dogs drink when they want to and they are not shy about drinking water. There are usually several times a day to offer water. I can understand a supplement after a vigorous workout but any type of fruit does the trick, espec...

Re: dog bottle
Any squirt bottle. Just let them drink it from the bottle. And at times when they are refusing water you can just squirt it into their chops and keep them hydrated rather they want it or not. Sometimes I'll have to bait water to get extra fluids in them. But this is usually in cold weather. For mine...

With constant stimulation you need to be able to reel him in quickly (Check cord) to get the stimulation off when he is by your side. My innotek will shut off in 10 seconds (on constant) so you need to have compliance in that time frame. so when I press continuous, it keeps stimulus on until he's b...

Welcome... First off I'd say you need to go over to General Chat to say hi and of upmost importance post up a bunch of pics of your pup. 2) I'll say start now working to secure birds for training. Rather that is building a pigeon coop, finding a game-bird supplier or just finding spots with wild bir...

Ignoring the age issues for a minute, she will hold point on a bird, but when the pigeon walks away, she will chase after him. I clipped their wings to prevent them from flying too far. In my opinion this is where your trouble begins. You want the bird to fly off when the dog breaks point. Don't cli...

Try taking him to a field with it on. Don't hold it just let him drag it. Don't talk to him just ignore him and take a long walk. Hopefully eventually he'll get bored being beside you and want to strike out on his own checking stuff out. If it doesn't work the first time try again tomorrow.

It won't hurt her hunting drive at all. Do some research on the subject of early spaying though. There are some pretty strong arguments for waiting until the dog is physically mature before spaying. They concern physical problems that can occur down the road as a result of spaying too early. Nothing...

She got her nose from Jersey/Jersey's Sire, my Percy. Percy throws that nose into his pups, no matter what female I seem to breed him too. Just my opinion. I don't know why these threads always draw so much animosity. Yes, I do understand the process to collar conditioning through use of a check cord and choke chain, which I used. Just use a flat collar with the check-cord. I only use a choke chain with a short lead where I have good control and a good view of what is going on with it. And I seem to be one of th...
