I test mine on the neighbor kids...

Actually I test it on my forearm every time out because I change the settings frequently (I often use two collars at a time set to the same transmitter setting).

It seems to me that everyone has defined too much dog for a situation as meaning the dog will not perform as the owner/handler wishes.

I would term this in all cases as too little dog.

I am on my third winter with the Nelson heaters and I love them. I bought them on sale for $39.00 and it was the best money I've spent on the dogs. I have one chewer who must use a metal bucket but I position buckets and heaters a corner of the kennel and I have never had a chew mark.
