A good first day on Quail............
Yesterday morning, my 3 month old GSP pup & I headed down to the Hill & Hollow Pointer & Retriever Club in Berkley, MA to meet some members of the Mayflower GSP Club for some field training. The club members in attendance were all very friendly, very helpful and had some very nice dogs. The 2005 GSP...

Chukar, I just did this last month. The details: - I flew American Airlines from Boston to Cedar Rapids, IA (via Chicago) out & back in the same day. - I picked up an 8.5 week old GSP female pup. - I used the medium Sherpa carrier and had MORE than enough room! My son took a line drive off the quad tonight in his baseball game- a shot right back to the pitcher's mound. He came home after the game with a nice little welt so I had him ice it while he watched some TV. I went upstairs to take care of some things. I come downstairs 15 minutes later to this !! [...

209 Blank Pistol for gunfire training ??
I was at Bass Pro yesterday and saw a really nice 209 Blank pistol that uses (you guessed it) 209 shotgun primers for ammo. Can anyone tell me what does the 209 primer "gunfire" sound like as compared to a .22? The pistol is very well made- heavier than some real .22's I've held with similiar barrel...

Ezzy, When the time comes to FF, I'll be affixing two, 1.5" metal pipe brackets at each end on one side of the table. I'll drop in a 3' section of 1.5" pipe in both holders and run a cable through holes drilled at the top of both pipes. I'll then run a snapline from the cable down to the dog collar ...

The NA water work also judges cooperation & desire as part of the dog being afforded the opportunity to demonstrate love for the water. The bumber is merely used to motivate the young dogs. Any versatile dog should be expected to "switch" gears on a moments notice. This isn't a test for AA Field Tri...
