My pup tried to play the same game. I am an old guy. She was dragging the perpetual 20 ft check cord. She thought she was out of range with a 50 ft head start. She was amazed when I ran her down. When I got to her ,I just scolded her BAD GIRL! Never had the problem again. It amazed me to.

Use a great deal of caution launching bob's from a remote. Pen raised birds can be extremely bad flyer's and you could well have one come back down in front of your dog as fast as it went up. Why Whoa? And what command would you use to stop her. She wasn't wearing a check cord. Maybe another mistake on my part. She works so well in everything else with the E-collar I don't want to sour her on the collar.

I use a primer in a shotgun instead of a pistol. Of coarse that requires a reloader. In the past, I have walked my pups up to the shooters at the local trap range, stopping along the way to play with them. Never had a problem with that.

I saw a u-tube video on FF done by Standing Stone Kennels. They were coaxing the dogs to fetch with treats instead of force. Is this the right thing to do?? Whoops! Guess I need to pay attention. After viewing whole series treats were only used to get dog used to table.

Hunting preserve Phesants with a buddy. He fired 3 rounds with his 870 mod choke. I dropped the bird at 45 yards with my o/u skeet choke. He bought a skeet barrel the next day.

Caught the flu the day before the trials. Ran my dog both days sick. Rain Saturday. frozen grass 24 inch tall Sunday. No quail hunting. Lucky to be able to heard my rig back home. Flu this year is bad. Kicks your butt.

I use the medium for my Brittany. 38 lbs. She can stand and stretch. She finds it cozy and it fits across my truck rear bench seat and back seat of my accord.

I did go to the vet after the good advise. She was swollen about 4 inch long and 1 inch diameter on her left under belly. Got 10 days of antibiotics and I put on hot damp packs 3 times a day. Swelling almost gone today. Learned to rub stick antipersirant on her fur near the wound to stop licking.

while on the subject of lost dogs. I was at a nstra trial in AZ. We found this lost dog. He had the owners name and phone # on his collar. The # on the collar was called. Later found that the dog was from our camp but the new owner never changed the info on the collar.
