Re: Question for you Raw feeders?

I feed raw (chicken necks) 2-3 times a week and notice that later that night or the next day after feeding the raw meat, my dogs are more hungry! Either the Raw meat kicks their metabolism up a notch or it doesn't satisfy their hunger. My guess is it kicks their metabolism up. Anyone else notice th...

Re: 2nd Hunting Dog to run with GSP

When on the preserve, I will make every attempt to find a downed bird.

When in the wild, I will give it a decent shot, but am not going to waste a ton of time or risk trespassing for a bird. The circle of life will ensure that nothing is wasted. To each their own.

Yeah, he will eat it with great anticipation, all of them will. However, I haven't asked him if he's disappointed when I give him the kibble. He just gobbles it up :D All my dogs love the raw food, but I trust the kibble is more well balanced and the raw I feed is mostly just a supplement I give th...

I don't know where you are in WI, but I offer a story regarding my sister's chocolate lab that sounds kind of similar to your situation. Re: Opinions/thoughts wanted on my current situation

I'd ask my vet to visit my house. Maybe there is something like "the ladder in the corner" that he might be able to pinpoint or rule out? Do you have any neighbors with pets? Any farmers that spray fields near by? Do you have a buddy with a gsp that would be willing to bring his dog over and let it...

Re: Opinions/thoughts wanted on my current situation

I would move on and find another breeder. But before you do that, check in on that pup you returned and see how it is doing at the breeders. If he is all better, your environment would be suspect. If the pup is still suffering, well environment is less suspect. Tons of good GSP breeders in Wisconsi...
