Good luck to all especially our Northeastern Representatives. Do us all proud on this side of the Delaware. Amatulli, Tazza and Lucey, hope you all "lay one down" for the books. Keep us informed. Can't wait to get there next year!

Re: The reason for purse money.
In support of the Pro's, if there were enough great dogs out there to make a living on and win, there wouldn't be any mediocre dogs on their string. I'm sure that every string could probably use a little cleaning up. However, if they only took the great ones, how much more would it cost to campaign ...

Thanks! They have been a lot of fun. I come home every weekend tired, smiling, and hoarse. I forgot how much work it was to hang on to puppies. After running them I am drained. I judged on Fri. from 8AM until 6PM and I was not nearly as drained as I was after handling those two. I'm just glad that I...

All things being equal, you need the right gun for the right job! I was shooting my 3 1/2" Browning 12 ga with 3 1/2" BB's and didn't feel a thing, way too much adrenaline pumping. We limited out in an hour. We couldn't do anything wrong that day. Best part was, both my brother and my son couldn't h...

Nike...I'm all on board for a 12 out there. Like I said, it is because of the type of hunting that it is. I tried both my 20 and my 16 in SD and over Labs, blocking, driving, and pass shooting they were way too ineffective. I dropped a passing rooster at 45 yards out and up with a 300 yard headstart...

Hey Birddogger, Maybe I'm just old school or just too lazy to try and figure it all out. I never bought into stock fittings, cheekstocks, patterning a shotgun, drams, loads, etc. I know what I've always shot for loads, love the guns that I own, and there isn't much I don't hit. The best part of it is not sleeping. It's that rush that keeps you going every weekend. I drive 6-10 hours all alone to get to my trials so I try to sleep while I'm driving!

I wouldn't run her in a trial until you have her steady again. The bird chasing may have bben good for the gun, but it probably set you back on his/her pointing. It is way more fun to chase than it is to point. You still may have bird contact in a puppy trial so I would rather have the dog standing ...

Traps, traps, traps. Beg, borrow, steal, but get 2-3. Multiple birds under controlled situations teach the dog that if they move, bird is gone. Within a few sessions of multiple birds, the dog wants to stand there because he is expecting more than 1 bird at all times. Never pop the closest bird so t...
