It just takes time my newest pup took about three or four weeks to settle down in his crate meaning no whining, and he just started sleeping all night the past week or two and he is 4 months old. They can only go so long without messing when they are young, a rule of thumb is age in months plus one ho...

Welcome, great looking dog there. Do you fish for the famed California monster bass that get fat on the put and take trout? Ezzy some people with larger and more powerful dogs than Brittany's and lap dogs sometimes need a pinch collar to avoid injury to ourselves if a dog should happen to lunge. Th...

Good looking dog have fun with him but be warned this bird dog stuff can get addictive, I agree with ezzy there are better collars, if you have not looked at leather pinch collars you might want to give them a glance. But i would never leave ANY pinch type collar on a dog if i was not on the other en...

I am finding few today will make the commitment of time, nor have the resources to train and maintain a pointing dog. I tell most to get a Lab out of local hunting stock, and I have never even owned a Lab. After they learn "stay" and"here" they are ready to go hunting for upland or waterfowl. The o...

If the pup is birdy i would not let her catch any but let her chase, if she needed to catch the bird to bring her drive up i would think that would be ok but even at her age i would wait and see where she was at around a year old.

Go to a graphic designer FIRST then work with them to get the vinyl cut. If you go to a printer first, you will get what you pay for (or not) ... usually they are NOT designers. If it doesn't LOOK right first, it is not going to look good no matter how you print it - on vinyl, magnet, banner, paper...

You are going to need more than one size or one that has dividers to accommodate the pup as he/she grows. You want one that the pup has just enough room to stand up and turn around in, In my experience once they are fully crate trained they can be in a over sized crate and not mess in it but that is ...

Yes, but I won't do it, and will correct a dog for trying it on his own. I have found it better to have the dog hit the birds hard and hold them in place. If they must relocate, do it even faster. Some birds will flush wild, enough will hold if you are quiet enough and the dog fast enough. I see th...
