Never tried any of the name brand stuff. I bought a container of maltodextrin and only use it on multi-day trips. I had an English Setter when I lived in PA and cleaning burrs and stickers out of his coat after hunting was a process. I don't miss it. My GSP and Vizsla coats are significantly easier to maintain. Either will be a great companion.
