Rick redid some of his gravel lots last year and enclosed them with railroad ties. Keeps rock in and keeps diggers from digging. He has a 1 1/2 in rock in them. They turned out real nice and are low maintance. Then when you set your panels (ours are 6 ft) on the ties it makes them like 8 in taller. ...

We have alot of the Dog Dens. Some on the inside of runs, my other half, Rick has his on the outside with the door only coming inside. This is MUCH better for the life of the house. I have dogs jumping up and standing on the top, which I found out the hard way, rusts it out quickly. I also foud out ...

Helen, i was never a big hunter either. I have only shot birds to complete my dog work. When i met my current mate i was exposed to wild bird hunting, we make 2 or 3 trips a yr to hunt them. All I had done was train my dogs for trials and compete. Now we hunt either wild quail in Tx or Sharptail in ...

Rick Hopkins, my training partner used to conduct snake breaking seminars in Az. Would put one on here if someone got him a Rattlesnake. The only one we saw last year i blasted before he got there. If someone had one we could get a place around the Atl. area to put it on. So be on the look out for a...

Some dogs do fine working on pigeons thruout, but we like to use them only for the initial steadying process. Once a dog is understanding completly what you want, we immediatly switch them from pigeons to quail and keep them there. Quail on most dogs will keep a higher level of intensity than pigeon...

I like your dogs Mistletoe. One of my first GSP`S had the liver body with ticked legs, she was a wonderful beautiful dog. Interesting you have English Imports, why? How do they compare with dogs here? The GSP`s here are so divided in different catagories i guess that might be hard to answer, i might...

I see lots of dogs raised together and one will always be much more confident and ultimatly be the better dog. In ways you aren`t aware of p...
