Just picked this up!

Two birds from last season. I am quite happy with the way this turned out.

There are a few things that I would have had done differently but they are minor. All in all, I am very pleased with this one!

Not all of us were brought up with bird dogs or in the upland world. That's a good looking loft! How much trouble is it to clean the wire floor? I have plywood floors and easy clean unless it freeze's to hard. I used wire floor's in a few rabbit hutch's and they got super plugged up. Never did get them cleaned well. Look's like 1/2 x1 wire? Yes, 1/2" galvanized wire...

Not plans, but here is mine just before I finished it.

Designed and built on the fly (no plans). A few things I would do differently. However, over all, I’m happy with it.

I have narrowed it down to Owen's, Mountaintop and Jones.

Any insight would be appreciated. If it helps, we live in southern Wisconsin. Our temps can go from -20 to 100.

Does anyone have information on hunt tests in southern Wisconsin? I wouldn't mind attending one or two before Fall arrives. Not to run the dog, but to just attend myself and possibly take photographs. I want to run the dog in a few next year. However, being new to the area, I am finiding it more dif...
