The bird numbers are up in nebraska. Went out today found 6 coveys in 2 spots. Found 7 coveys in one spot the week before. Pheasants are up to.seen alot of people out this Thanksgiving weekend

I agree get him introduced to birds 3 months is young. But my 4.5 month old shorthair was holding backing and retrieving.it all depends on the dog though. All are different. Some catch on to things quick some take a little more time. You know your dog the best.

I got him from a guy in wymore ne. that's where female wad . The male in Kansas. I got a male so I can breed my own. I got a female. Excellent hunting dog.

Thanks a bunch he is fun. I enjoy working with young dogs. I have 2 others. Just needed a male that way I can have pups in a couple years.

My 2 dogs out for a little fun my 1 and a half german shorthair and my 8 year old english pointer. She just got back from surgery. Not 100 percent but doing good.

It was a good year for quial the pheasants were down. But my last weekend out got into 2 coveys of quial and seen 15 hens and 2 roosters in one patch so was a good sign. Just wondered how others did. Thanks

I have been out every weekend the pheasants are hit and miss but the quial are all over. Have only walked one spot this year where I have not found a covey or two. I have shot my limit the last 3 times out. Today dad went by Panama up by Lincoln got into 3 coveys.

There is alot of good ground hard to get on some. The pheasants are going to take a few years to come back. I have at least been seeing a few hens. The coyotes are bad this year I have seen them in about ever draw I have walked. anybody else had any luck around beatrice area. Happy holidays

Better then past years. Pheasant numbers are better. The quial have really came back. Have seen lots of coveys. What part will you be hunting around. I am from Beatrice ne.

A day out looking for some birds before season. She held these point for 5 min I beat we were unloading another dog and I looked over and about 30 yards from the truck she was locked up solid I grab the camara.

I have shoot 20 chuckers and 30 quial over her in the last month. She is going this weekend to shoot 20 pheasants and 20 chuckers on sat. We will see how she does.

I got a Mossberg 835 and it has never let me down. Shoot it more then my Browning bps and my over and under. Good gun for money

Thats a good sign for the little bit you where out. Down here in southeast Nebraska the quial are really coming back I have seen 2 or 3 coveys on the weekends when I have been working my old dog trying to get her into shape for season. What kind of dog do you have. Good luck this sseason

I live in beatrice ne and the bird numbers are coming back. Have seen tons and tons of quial. Pheasants are making a come back to. I think this will be one of our better years. If you make it down let me know. Would lead you in the right direction. Or even go one day.

It was a great weekend of dove hunting we went out and see more doves then ever. Could of shot better but we limited out. We found ours in the wheat feilds. They where coming out of a couple milo feilds and flying over.
