Re: Wood burned picture in gun stock?
I wouldn't burn the stock and expect it to make it more valuable on any gun. A $400 gun is a $400 gun, a $4000 gun with even something as well done as that done to it, detracks from the value. I have an 03-A3 built by Paul Jaeger himself. It lost value just refinishing it myself. To me the gun is no...

I have a hard time getting pigeons, so had to be innovative. In the launchers I would alternate between 20' of ice fishing line and a weight. Here's how it works. Put an electrical tie on the pigeons leg and leave it loose enough to get a swivel through it. Now attach 20' of black ice fishing line ...

Every once in a while a lost or tired homer will show up here. Stays in the loft a couple days and gone. I'm guessing that good racers/homers can't be trasnplanted to a new loft after some age as ferals can?

For me the most important thing to remember about the whoa post, no matter how it's used, is what it does. That is it stops forward movement from behind. That inability to move forward is exactly why I take the dog, by the collar, to the end of the cc and get it stopped the first few times. At that ...

You got a lab, basicly a flusher. (don't want to get in trouble with the pointing lab people) Take a wing cliped bird and throw it on the ground. Then throw it in the grass. Then plant some in the grass and let it trap them all it want's. Once it learn's it can catch them it'll charge them harder an...

I've got feral pigeons that have homed from the other side of Bend, that's 100 +- miles. I used to train a lot at Boyce Corrals outside of Madras and they came home, that's about 45 miles. There's some really mistaken belief's about feral pigeon's here. First off, you don't need homer's, ferals will home from farther away than your likely to train. If you put their head under the wing on the ground side and pull their feet straight out for a second with the body pressed to the ground until the feet stay straight, they will stay for a little while, but a release trap is the best and most reliable. Much less chance of the dog catching the pigeo...

Actually Squirt and Bodie are not litter mates, Squirt is about 10 days older and they are both from the same kennel.
