Anaplasmosis

One of our GSP's was just diagnosed with anaplasmosis...most likely came from hunting down south in WI this year. Just a heads up that, from what I hear, this is becoming more prevalent in northern WI. I use Frontline and vaccinate for lymes because we go south to tickland, but it sure didn't stop t...

I really like the method Hickox uses with the kennel to collar condition. It can be found on just about any of his videos and I have used it on three dogs with good results.

No birds or anything hunting involved and you teach the dog to kennel on command.

Don't give up hope.

I had the unfortunate luck of living through 2 of my hunting companions last dogs in the Lakes States Region this year and each time the dogs showed up a week later.

Wishing you the best that the dog will be picked up.

My female GSP has picked up on that sound.

I watched her stop on point this year and then look 15 feet up in the tree when the bird starting making the noise.

My brother-in-law lost a 7 year old English Setter who answers to Nutmeg in the Merrill/Tomahawk (New Wood) area this afternoon. She ran off, even through the e-collar when we got into a mess of birds and didn't come back. She is wearing a green tri-tronics e/beeper collar that is turned on and she ...

I have a 10 yr old GSP we recently brought to our home this summer. Bird number seemed to be about the same as last year...maybe down a bit but too early to tell.

I have to think of some excuses for my 1 for 5 shooting today...it must have been all the leaves on the trees!
