The deer population has dropped considerably. The whole states deer pop was down due to last years harsh winter. Grey wolves in Minnesota back on the endangered list is a joke. 22 trapped this fall those numbers will be replaced in a year or 2. Gov. trapper took 20 plus of a farm up by Ore a few ye...

Re: New E-Collar... Dogtra Edge, Garmin 550 or Garmin Alpha
If you don`t need the GPS I would recommend the Dogtra Edge. One button for each collar up to four. No switch to switch or find. By that time it is usually too late anyways. I like it for training also. I can put one collar on the neck and another around the flank if I am teaching steadiness. Very ...

I am assuming the dog can already track running birds (two different things IMO). As I explained they are two different things. How can you teach a dog to hold a area 100 yards away without locating scent first or seeing the fall. The track helps develop the wellingness to fallow scent to unknown p...

It'll take a couple of real hard freezes to knock out the deer tick out. Far hardier little bugger then a wood tick. Good grouse numbers but the woodcock must have flown right past us this year. Haven't many doodles since the first of the month.
