I have used Tri-Tronics since 1968, I now have a Pro 500. I am told the replacement Garmin 550 is comparable. That is my recommendation. I just don't care for the backyard class units, go with the best.

Guys, I just field trial my hunting dogs, I have had some success, but was never going to have a dog on the steps of the Ames Plantation. I have found it harder on some dogs to run 30 minutes full tilt, lay up in cramped dog wagon for an hour or so, then run again, finishing strong, than running an hour. But the real tests in endurance and recovery are the various invitationals. The top 12 dogs compete an hour in each of 2 consecutive...

It's like boundary training, don't allow her in there. When you go in and she follows, send her out. Walk her down the hall and if she veers in there, correct her and get her out. No need to bully, simply say "No, out!" and collar her out or push (crowd) her out with your body. Be very consistent. ...

I pick a pup out of a litter and then check the sex. Except in the case of my line of Boykin Spaniels, I see little difference in other breeds as to sex.
