Re: How Awsome Are GOOD Hunting Preserves
I've never hunted a preserve and regret not doing so with my last GSP. I went out with her 3 times the last year she was alive and took my son along too (his first experience with hunting) and due to not having access to any quailty ground, we got skunked each time. I still enjoyed watching my dog w...

Question on "Here"
I started working on "Here" with my dog and she RUNS to me but will often run by me or stop 1-2 feet in front with her back to me wanting to take off again. I've been pulling her back to me until she's basically touching me and telling her "good girl". Is this the right time to praise her?? Also, sh...

Diamond Performance vs. Hi-Energy vs. Premium Adult
I've been feeding my 1 1/2 year old GSP Diamond Performance (purple/black bag) and she looks great but I thought I'd get some input on all three to make sure I'm giving the best feed for my dog. I let her run daily so she's definitely active and I want to make sure she's getting proper nutrition. Th...

Thanks for all the input everyone, I really appreciate it.
Hopefully others will be able to read this and have a heads-up on how to properly approach the flush when it's their turn.
Shadowing a pro is a great idea.....I'll keep my eyes/ears open for an opportunity to do that too!

Very good (and bad for me)!! I planted this pigeon and walked my dog in downwind (scenting conditions weren't that great). When she went on point in the first pic I held the button on the flexi-leash (they always look taught but at that point I did let it droop a little) to ensure my dog didn't brea...

New Rem 870 w/ pheasant & bird dog engraving
I just picked up a new 870 from Dam Road Gun Shop and thought I'd post some pics. Left coop door open and dog killed some birds
I was in a big hurry yesterday and must not have shut the door properly on my coop because my wife called and said that the dog(s) had got in and killed four birds.
