At the championships, they draw the night before so it is a little harder to publish for those of us watching from the web.

The NGSPA Quail Championship is supposed to start Wednesday at the Lake Murray Field Trial Grounds near Ardmore Oklahoma. Several of the same people are involved that put on the Lone Star AKC weekend trial that ran prior.

I talked to Rabidou last night and asked him about why he had waited so long to use the straws on Koonas. In typical Rabidou form he danced around a bit and said that you need to wait a while and find just the right bitch before going back to it. When I said I thought usually a granddaughter or grea...

You guys are extremely fortunate. You make 5-6 hours seem like a long trip. I have to drive 8 hours to get to the other side of Oklahoma and I live in Oklahoma. :D Heck just to Christmas shop, or car shop, or for any big ticket items or even just to go to a mall or a store like Best Buy I have to d...

Re: What qualifies as LINEBRED?
This may or may not be a little off topic, but the name dropping I'm sure does get irritating to those that actually are linebreeding on specific dogs and/or lines. Paper is just paper, but at the same time you can't argue with the facts, some lines just have a tendancy of producing great dogs. Lin...

Re: What qualifies as LINEBRED?
Ezzy, I agree that breeding to a line of dogs that exhibit similar traits or traits that you want to incorporate should be the ultimate goal. Breeding choices are not what I take issue with. It is the way some breeders attempt to represent their litter as "Namebrand" bred when said genes might be so...

IMO, my pup is bred nicely. I am not fluent with COI percentages. However, her breeding is a reflection of OTHER people's work, time, and investment. I apologize for the sarcasm, but if I read another ad about a double bred Clown or Rusty pup I think I will puke. There may be a few dogs still alive that fit that description, and if I owned a dog bred that way, it would infuriate me even further to see these inaccurate claims. I have been around t...

I always grew frustrated by the lack of manners and style the dogs exhibited on most of those shows. I found myself saying aloud, "how in the world is this $#!+ on television?" Re: What qualifies as LINEBRED?
I was being a bit facetious, but maybe Howie could teach a class. A dog's appearance in a pedigree does not equal a "line." Some people, who seem knowledgeable most of the time, use incorrect terminology when representing their dogs. Maybe I am just too uptight. I understand using names to try to se...

I am taking a poll. What qualifies as linebred? I thought I had an idea, but I must not be accurate.
