The Smith wonder lead worked great with my dog.... she learned really fast to fall into step. She walks beside me all the time. She goes like heck's bells when we hit the field. I don't think her walking with me in town affected her hunting at all..

WOW... that's awesome!!! Is that the same Shine my Brittany came 3rd to in the Amateur derby at the Oak Ridge Pointing Dog trial in PA on Nov 8/9? It's a unique name, so that is why I caught it!!
Anyhow, congrats to all on the new DC and the derby placements!!!

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but a dog that eats incrediblly fast can be possibly prone to bloat? I was told that water in the food helps slow their eating down a little bit... maybe that's wrong, and if so, could someone set the answer straight for me please???

Yes, it is too bad it is cancelled. Thanks Karen... it was a good trial, even if the weather was bad. Jasmine ran awesome in the amateur. After busting her first bird, she had 2 great single finds, and her last was a covey of about 12 or more birds. She never flinched. It made me so proud of her.
