Sounds like you have para typhoid. I use a good antibiotic to treat if necessary but it is seldom that I do. Would rather let the birds develop their natural immunity. That is what I was thinking, sounds hard to treat successfully anyhow. Can my dogs or new pup catch it if I shoot one of the birds ...

I don't think it is a consensus either but it is hard to explain why the smartest vet in the world feeds raw while advocating early neutering. Might it have some basis in whether that individual agrees with you or not.

I think staining is more often caused by fever when young before the teeth emerged in the old old days, it was a good sign, as it meant the dog had survived distemper and this was immune to it. People who want to neuter should read this and especially the early neutering group needs to take into account. Don. you aren't 16 anymore. Your complaints are same as mine and my knees are pretty good except for the arthritis. Age means balance is getting poor and you need your hand on something to feel comfortable. Just part of the fun of aging but still better than the alternative.
