Re: Pigeon traps
Whoadog My trapping has been at parks and market parking lots where the birds are pretty much resident and you get the same birds. Roof trapping may be different and maybe you get more transient birds. I can usually go to a place I hadn't trapped at before and get a few birds in 10 minutes if they a...

Re: Man Awarded $145,000 in the Shooting of His Dog
Awarding and collecting are two different things. If the landowner was off his rocker enough to threaten people with a gun and shot a dog, he is unlikely to do anything to comply with a court award without force. Im guessing he will go to jail for more threats and gun related tomfoolery. Hopefully n...

"Hunt 'Em Up" by Joe Arnett and George Hickox was a decent book on retrievers. Mike Gould wrote a book I read many years ago that had stuck with me.
But these days I'd look for something Mike Lardy wrote.

If my dogs hear me curse, they go in their kennel or outside. I have worked in a "proper" corporate office for 15 years straight now. We dont have the freedom to curse in a mixed office. A particular trap isn't going to be your issue. Pigeons get wise after being trapped. You will likely be only able to trap at one location a few times before they won't go into the trap again. Any decent design will work fine. Make one

So why pussyfoot around the issue? The moderators can issue warnings for vulgar language, personal attacks, clearly provoking, continued denigrating others or whatever the rules state. If it's repetitive, give them a short suspension, longer suspension, expulsion, in a progressively escalating manner.

I'm pretty sure there isn't much difference in manufacturing cost between the rotary servo design and the solenoid design. Price out a solenoid at retail prices and price out a servo at retail prices. There really isn't any difference. A rotary servo has a ton of moving parts, motor, and a gearbox w...
