My female is right at 45lbs and is almost 2 years old. My male pup is 5 months today and tips the scales at 40lbs.

Both dogs are in my signature.

Sorry about that, yes I have been feeding Black Gold. I have mainly using the Blue bag 24/20 formula. I can cut down way on the amount being fed during the off season and the dogs still are holding their weight and dont seem overly hungry come feeding time. Very little waste is a plus and I pay $23....

Of those feeds I would chose Black Gold. Its a very good feed for the price.

I have not heard of Pride, also keep in mind a lot people will just buy the cheapest dog food there is for their backyard dog. Could be why Pride is selling there?

In my Johnny house I used the bullet feeder/ water from LCS. It keeps the birds from fouling it up. I also used a water similar to the less mess, you can purchase the same nipple from farmtek. Just insert it in to some pvc pipe and fill it with water.

Yeah I have decided to use the the injectiable, given oraly. I might try the paste but Im not sure about the dosage amount.

I thought the pour on might be easier to administer, but was unsure if anyone used it.

The sire is out of Sharp Shooter lines and the dam is DK vom Riverwoods line. He should be a very versatile pup, we will be training for some NAVHDA stuff and hunting mainly quail, pheasant, and a little waterfowl.

Last week the price was $20 for 50 lbs in central Missouri, also Im about 20 miles from the main diamond plant in Meta, MO. You can find Diamond products in pretty much every store around here. I wish the same could be said for Black Gold another local company :cry:

Thanks to everyone for all the input. A lot of things were brought up that I didn't think about. That being said I think I'll stick with my 20 semi-auto and the 28 pump use the money to buy another GSP pup. He should be here in a couple weeks, I'll be sure to post some pics.

I actually checked CDNN last night, I think the only one at that price were 12s and 20s. I thought about ordering one in a 20 but I really want a 28. Currently I have a 28 Browning BPS, but it's alittle heavy for all day carry.

Went out today, only got two Bobs but Mocha handled well. If only the shooter was a better shot :D

These are her first wild quail, she did a great job pointing one of them. I flushed the other, she did retrieve both of them!

Hunted Whetstone on Friday, I found one single and woodcock. With the crops still up and being pretty warm the hunting was pretty bad. I spent about 5 hours out there. I will be trying different areas this week.

Fun day on some released birds. Mocha held her points and retrieved all three birds! Also these were the first pheasants shot over her.

I feed Loyall Dog food to my GSP. I have used the puppy, active adult, and now the High Performance 24/20 blend. She seems to like all of them. Her weight and coat are good since I have been feeding it. I tried Diamond Naturals chicken and rice she did not do well on it.

I watched the show last week and thought it was great! We need more shows like this one. I enjoy watching all upland hunting shows, but I think we all just really enjoy the dogs and the work they do. I have all future episodes set to record in case I miss them.

Montana all the way! He has more titles, makes fewer mistakes, and always knew the right plays to make. He knew how to read the field and make the right throws, Farve has(had) a tremendous arm but got burned more often than not.
