DG, you have a right to be concerned, but no real need... I would be concerned with a breeder that didn't ask a lot of questions and seek to find a good home for his/her pups or started dogs. From my experiance it's very natural. I'd supply plenty of "rawhide Chewies" as wood probably won't hurt but can't be good as well. As to a training effect, I'd say not to worry, and let them chew on rawhides and be a puppy. Heck all my dogs enjoy to get a rawhide, from the youngest to the oldest. ....

Phillip, I'd suggest you check with the Tenn. DNR, it is possible, you may need permits or designated grounds. I also think the time of the year is critcal in some states. In the off season many states require the use of approved grounds only. "pear"

Personally I'd head to the Vet. As was posted here or on another board recently, they can also work in directions that are undesired. I believe someone recounted one working it's way to the brain and causing problems that resulted in a dog needing put down.... Vet's office for me!! "pear"
