I love double trigger's and don't have one anymore. On my SxS's, the right barrel fire's first and the left next. Tightest choke last. Have no idea how that would work on an O/U with choke tubes? I've had a pair of Cabela's brand tin chaps for 5 years. I love them, but it's time for a new pair but my local store doesn't carry them. Look like I may have to order them online. I've also thought about a pair of double tin, but not sure I would want that much weight on warm days.

I believe you will get some benefit from a dog on a stakeout. It is a different thing from the chaingang, but being on a stakeout while you are doing stuff will definitely teach the dog to give to the collar paressure and, eventually, to lie down, relax and wait for you. For your purpose, putting t...

The bigger the better! I like some length to the pens so they can really fly some distance. If you're only keeping birds a few days to a week, what you are thinking is probably sufficient. If you plan to keep birds much longer, I would build something much longer. I want good flying birds!!! Nitrex

I'll let a 8 week old pup "catch" the first few birds. I introduce a pup to a locked wing first, then a clipped wing, then on to a flushed bird. I don't want to take any chance that a young pup may be frightened by an aggressive flush on the first few bird contacts. I don't let them "catch" any bird...
