I like these range threads. You always get the people who have never seen a dog handle at range telling everyone else that it is impossible or impractical to have a 1000yd dog. Maybe. In southern Indiana there is little need for me to have a dog that runs much more than 5-600yds. but then again I wo...

We used to buy it by the pallet when we were feeding coyote hounds. They did pretty good on it, but the feed guy got a real job and it is not as available as it once was.

We used to run chains down the side of the beds in our pickup trucks like that for coyote hounds, and I actually had thought about that for the ranger. Ill look into building a rack. That would be a ton easier than dealing with a trailer or a box. thanks.

I would say that is more a matter of poor breeding than it is a matter of color. when you consider you can get all three colors from a given litter to say that the chocolate dog will not be as smart as the yellow or black dogs is a spit in the face of genetics. Poor breeding done by breeders looking...

The most I ever had at once. was 25ish when I had coyote hounds and coon hounds. I'd say between farm/stock dogs and hunting dogs I'd like to stay under 10.
