In the best interest of the dog I would wait until July of next year when you know more if your still going to travel or not. If you plan to use this new Weim for hunting I would think you would need lots of training time that you would't have this year that your may have next year once your settle...

We're big on EVO Turkey Chicken Large Bites. Our dog was getting twice as much Exceed (4 cups) and was waaaay to skinny. Plus there was plenty of "waste product". Unfortunately, "Winter" is a whole different animal here in FL. A very reliable source told us of still seeing a lot of flea infestations, so we use the K9 Advantix year round down here.

I agree. Zio is our first hunting dog. He is obedience trained (currently at CD & we're going for his CDX shortly). He's never had the problem of "sitting" in the field.
