Yes, definitely make sure the kennel is next to the bed. When she whimpers, put your hand in there to let her know you are there.

If I remember correctly it took a couple weeks for ours not to cry at night in the kennel.

As far as color I dont have to many options with the vizsla but if I got a GSP then I would really like to have the ones that have the big liver patches and are heavy ticked where they almost look grey. Entering 1st AKC Hunt Test - Advice?

So I am entering my 1st hunt test. It will be in the middle of Feb. I will be entering Saturday's and Sunday's test so at least I will get the hang of it by day 2.

I just plan to go out and let the dogs do what they do best.

No e collars correct?

Any advice for the first time out?

Yea the Kong Wubba toy is pretty tough but my Viz tore hers' up in no time.

I just give them the soup bones from the grocery store. They last forever.

Kepping game in the refrigerator?

I have a couple of plucked and gutted whole pheasants that I shot today. Then have been rinsed in cold water then patted dry and are now in zip lock bags.

How long will these last in the refrigerator before spoiling?

I have seen some conflicting numbers so thought I would get your opinions.

Hi Will,

The breeder I got my dogs from picks the pups for the owners also. She does this with every litter. She will pick the pup that goes with the new owners personality. I found this a little weird also but it worked out great in the end!

Yup we went to the Setter CLub this morning. I guess I got there around 10:30 or 11 and left at noon. Once the drive opens up (before you get to the club house) I was parked right off the road (Green Jeep Cherokee).

I got the Cabela's ripstop protector for my viz and I love it. It is also nice because I can spot her easily in the filed (and you know how hard it is to do that with the color of the viz).
