I would agree with NSTRA. I believe you will find it as even a playing field as any other format. Those with experience will have an advantage but you gain experience quickly by attending and watching.

Be careful with the light bulbs. A friend of mine lost the NC State Champion and a whole litter of pups with a light in the whelping box. It was a sad day. I don't have the answer to what is best, but I just wanted to pass on the warning.
