I mostly hunt alone or with one other person and we are rarely within shotgun range of each other. I'm out West and don't hunt in heavy cover. I also don't like to advertise where I am hunting to people driving by, or on another mountain a mile away. I prefer not to be seen while hunting.

I've read two different articles in Outdoor life about people loosing hounds to wolves in Idaho. I had another experience in Idaho where one of my shorthairs went out of sight for a few minutes. AHGSP I have raised pigeons for 38 years until December. For the last 12 years I had my birds tested prior to breeding season and in all those years I never had a positive culture for Salmonella. I'm not saying I did not have cases of Salmonella but the tests never showed it. Salmonella rarely kills...

The only annoy your neighbors if you let them. If you keep them hungry so they don't lounge around on everyone's roofs. Racing pigeons being used for dog training don't need much more than 2 tablespoons of grain per day. They will try and fake you out and make you think they are more hungry than the...

It's amazing to me to hear such statements as "nothing magical" about 49 days. The 49 day method is based upon research by Dr. Micheal Fox. Have you ever thought of breaking the dog without modern day gadgetry?
At this point you have nothing to lose by using a check cord, and leg work to break the dog without an e-collar. This may keep him honest in his bird work.
