Just an aside: we can't leave a collar on our #1 GSP all the time; he winds up with irritation & actual bald areas, no matter how "perfectly" the collar fits. So it's only collars outside the house here. YMMV.

We had 57 dogs -- majors in three of the Gun Dog stakes.

I find the statement that pork causes pancreatitis somewhat far fetched. Our #1 GSP doesn't tolerate beef, so we often throw leftover cooked pork, chicken, or fish in our dogs' dishes along with their dry food. Never had an issue.
