Re: Responsible Firearms ownership
Illinois, as far as I know, is the only state that has the FOID card system, and you have to take a safety course before you can get a FOID card, and you have to have a FOID card to purchase a firearm. It is not a small test either, it is a 2 day class, out in the field stuff and then a test that ha...

People use to tell me that coyote hunting was cruel, and before I researched it a bit more I was kind of on the fence about it, but dang, they need to have a serious drop in numbers with feral hogs as well!

Dokken has a good book out on retrievers. Bring water with you, be it bottled or water in a squirt bottle to give the pup a drink every 20-30 min or so. Check cord is a good idea until come or heel is burned into the brain. Have fun, and try to leave on a high note.

First couple of months work on treat reinforced commands (by treat I mean their food) and slowly ween off of the food and use lots of praise. I prefer "clicker" training, I thought it made things faster. A good example of the treat reinforcement is to put a piece of food between your middle finger a...

Are you doing 1 drawing or monthly drawings, and is there going to be 1 winner or say 3? Have you figured out price ranges for these if so? The more we know about what you are willing to give away, the more we know what and where to to focus at item and price wise.

Add this to the already off the wall stuff with the AR and AR-style guns that will be taxed, then you have to allow ATF to come in your home whenever they feel like it to check to make sure your AR or compatible gun is at the correct standards. This crap is just getting crazy.

Dokken has a flushing book that is really good, and "Hup" is really good as well. Dokkens is geared more towards labs, and hup more towards spaniel breeds. Hope that helps a bit.
